Alexandra Zykunov
Alexandra Zykunov is a SPIEGEL best-selling author, co-founder, and co-editorial director of the magazine BE GREEN, and a journalist covering feminist and societal issues for BRIGITTE. As alexandra___z, she is a highly influential voice on Instagram with over 50,000 followers, and her articles about the invisibility of women’s and family issues in politics regularly go viral.
Her first non-fiction book, Wir sind doch alle längst gleichberechtigt (We have all been equal for a long time) was published by Ullstein in 2022 and remained in the SPIEGEL bestseller list for more than seven months.
Since then, she has regularly delivered keynotes, participated in panels, and held readings at companies such as SAP, Pfizer Pharma, AXA Deutschland, Bosch, E.ON, Johnson & Johnson, and Sparkasse, among others.
In 2021, Zykunov co-initiated the media campaign “Gleiches Recht für Eltern” (Equal Rights for Parents) together with the non-profit “Proparentsinitiative,” to fight discrimination of mothers in the workplace and to include parenthood in the German anti-discrimination law. As a result of their efforts, some of their demands were included in the coalition agreement of the German federal government.
Zykunov’s texts and essays on feminist, family policy, and sustainable issues have been published in various publications including Brigitte, WELT, SPIEGEL Online, GEO, and BE GREEN.
