Anke Skopec
As a passionate researcher and entrepreneur, Dr. Anke Skopec is committed to inspiring other people to innovation.
Having founded the network “GAIA – the Femtech Alliance”, she promotes the closing of the gender data gap through international innovation projects to strengthen women’s self-determination health.
Dr. Anke Skopec is an innovation driver, researcher and, as a single mother of three children, a real multitasker.
Since the beginning of her career, Dr. Anke Skopec has combined science with a focus on application. Her scientific focus has consistently been on psychology and its application within corporate contexts and goals.
Following this guiding principle, she founded the independent and application-oriented BIFI – Berlin Institute for Innovation in 2012, which pursues the corporate purpose of putting valid scientific research results at the service of the German economy.
Dr. Skopec laid the foundations of her career with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Economics in 2007 and a Master of Science in Social Psychology in 2009, both with honors from the University of Bern. Her academic journey then led her to a doctorate in economics and social sciences at the University of Witten/Herdecke in 2015.
She gained broad professional experience, amongst others as an accredited business coach at IBB Business Team GmbH and as a public relations specialist innovation and later as user experience / usability expert in innovation management at Immobilien Scout GmbH.
As an expert, she has been evaluating business concepts as a juror and consultant at the Berlin-Brandenburg business plan competition since 2020 and also has a preference for teaching: she is a lecturer in research methods and start-up seminars at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Hamburg, the Berlin StartUp Academy and the Berlin StartUp School and trains the new generation of in-house employees with own education programs.
In autumn 2023 she was named “Berlin Entrepreneur of the year 2022/23” and honored for her innovative research. Dr. Anke Skopec was recognized as an innovation driver and for her resilience, her inventiveness and her clarity in corporate management.
