Request Speaker

Informed, open, close, controversial and entertaining: this is how one would describe Anna Schunck’s way of running moderations, panel discussions and live interviews. With a special feel for nuances and the reading of interpersonal relationships, as well as the journalistic ambition to always shed light on new or unexpected aspects, she always looks for what unites us rather than for the differences between us.

Anna is deeply concerned with issues such as sustainability, climate justice, energy-, transport- and agricultural transition, plastics, natural cosmetics, fair fashion and circular economy – topics on which she also regularly publishes.

After completing her traineeship Anna worked for several years as an editor and head of department at a local newspapers and magazines in Hamburg and northern Germany and eventually set up her freelance career in 2009. In 2015, she launched the first German online magazine for sustainability topics “Viertel \ Vor” together with director and photographer Marcus Werner. She founded the accompanying green content and consulting agency “VOR \ Media” in 2018.

Anna has hosted the ZDF show “Green Steps” (with Shia Sue) as well as the podcasts “Über Morgen” (for Tomorrow Bank, with Jakob Berndt), “Klima und KI” and “Was ist Bioökonomie” (for Körber Stiftung) and “Stadt in Bewegung” (for WeShare).

She also advises publishers and brands on sustainability topics, designs and edits text and moving image content for companies and agencies and writes for magazines such as Stern, Brigitte, Couch and Emotion. Since March 2022, she has been part of the editorial team at the future-orientated sustainability magazine 2050 (Burda Verlag, print and online edition).
