What drives you?
The knowledge that doing nothing is not a solution.
The best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Surround yourself with people who are good for you.
What are you learning right now that you’re not so good at yet?
Always some new piano piece. And being in the here and now.
What would you change if you had the power to do so?
The perspective from which we look at the world.
Which superheroine power would you like to have?
There are certainly more useful qualities, but being able to fly invisibly would be cool.
Anna Yona
Anna Yona is the founder of Wildling Shoes. The product: minimalist shoes for young and old that are handmade in Portugal, primarily from ecological natural materials and in compliance with environmental standards. Wildlings ensure that you can feel the ground under your feet again and literally encourage you to break new ground. The company, which now has around 200 employees, aims to have a positive influence on all areas of the value chain and is actively committed to sustainable and fair raw material extraction, maximum fair production, durability and recycling. Anna came up with the idea for the product when she returned to Germany from Israel with her family. After years of walking barefoot, her children simply couldn’t get to grips with conventional shoes. And so Anna – who actually studied literature – founded her own company, looked into regenerative management and started her own little utopia with Wildling, which focuses on people and the environment and is intended to become a platform for networking, inspiring each other, recognizing new perspectives, sharing knowledge and working together on social change.
Wildling Shoes has already won several awards for its shoe design, new work and regenerative approach, most recently the German Founder’s Award and the German Sustainability Award.
