Christiane Reppe

Christiane Reppe has a zest for life and a positive charisma that inspires everyone. She is an extraordinary power woman with an impressive life story, for whom giving up is and has never been an option. Experience an authentic speaker with heart, humour and passion!

At the age of five, Christiane was diagnosed with a malignant nerve tumour and had to have her right leg amputated. She started swimming at the age of 11 and just 4 years later won two bronze medals at the World Championships in Argentina. She went on to win more World Championship medals and two bronze medals at the 2004 Paralympic Games.

In 2017, something incredible happened. After intense preparation for the World Championships, Christiane was informed by her federation two weeks before the scheduled start that they had forgotten to register her for the event. A late entry was refused. Wanting to support her team on the ground, she flew to South Africa without any equipment. The surprising news came three days before the competition. The late entry had been accepted. At short notice, Christiane had to exhaust all logistical possibilities. Her father spontaneously flew to South Africa with all his equipment. The effort paid off as Christiane became a two-time world champion.

With a degree in business studies and training as a mental coach under her belt, she was ready to take on new challenges. After a career in swimming and great success in cycling, she wanted to prove once again in triathlon that she could take things on and see them through. And she did.

Retiring from competitive sport after 20 years! At the beginning of 2021, Christiane has decided to end her sporting career. With her achievements, Christiane is one of the most successful athletes in Germany. To say goodbye, she swam 28 kilometres around an island in Spain with a small team for a good cause

Now, after two exciting years as a product manager in the private sector, Christiane is ready to start her own business..
