What motivates you?
Change, my sense of justice (it’s over the roof…) and the mission to experience and feel other people in real life.

The best advice you have ever been given?
Others are as afraid as you. And: When you encounter a situation you‘d rather avoid, that‘s where the nex learning curve is hidden!

What are you learning right now that you still have to get good at?
Letting people finish their sentence. I’m way too excited sometimes (;

What would you chance if you had the power to do so?
How much space does this form have?

Which superheroine power would you like to have?
Beaming!

Katharina Beitz

Lead Communication & Platform, Entrepreneur and Activist
Request Speaker

Katharina Beitz is an entrepreneur, columnist, podcaster, and communication expert for companies and people in tech.

“Taking the fear out of technology and making it usable for everyone is my credo.”

Katharina leads Communication and Platform at one of the most active European investment funds, focused solely on climate and impact. As a board member of the Global Impact Capital Alliance, she is a key player and networker in the Berlin startup scene. Her focus areas include urban and climate innovation, hardware and IoT startups, as well as smart cities and democratic engagement from global perspectives.

Previously, she was the CEO of Zybra Capital GmbH, where she drove sustainable ideas and revolutionary startups in Germany. Her expertise spans over a decade as an activist, entrepreneur, and driver of genuine change.

Katharina is also known as the former CMO of Our Greenery, one of Berlin’s leading vertical farming startups, where she was responsible for the entire brand development through multiple investment rounds.

However, her nights looked very different for a long time: for over a decade, she worked as a bouncer and selector for the most famous clubs in Berlin. This experience allowed her to see a different side of a city in complete transformation: those who do not benefit from the economic boom of a big city and often do not want to.

“With my commitment and my profession, I have long been connecting these two worlds, advocating for the design of complex systems that we all, not just experts, must navigate.”

Katharina regularly publishes and speaks on European stages about the digital divide, innovation culture, and green technology. Her columns regularly appear in Computerwoche and Frankfurter Rundschau. Additionally, she is a sought-after podcast guest and regularly contributes to leading publications.

Her academic background includes an MSc in Economics from universities in Shanghai, London, Paris, and San Francisco, as well as a degree in Philosophy from FU Berlin. This education regularly brings her together with a diverse network of exciting personalities, with whom she communicates about new international trends and solutions.
