What motivates you?
My curiosity. And I am not afraid to fail. But not enough to not try it in the first place. In the end there is not a lot to lose, but much to be won.
The best advice you have ever been given?
Honestly: I don’t remember ever having received any really helpful advice. It’s more a feeling that I got from home: My parents never pressured me into pursuing a straight career or to do anything just because that’s what you do. That was incredibly beneficial for me!
What are you learning right now that you still have to get good at?
I am very conflict-avoidant and I often still. That’s why I find it very difficult to stand up for my needs at times and not just when I can’t stand it any more.
What would you chance if you had the power to do so?
I would remove the part from people‘s brains that drives us to destroy our environment.
Which superheroine power would you like to have?
I would love to be able sing really well! Singing and music have the power to touch people so deeply.
Nina Skarabela-Brennenstuhl
Nina Skarabela-Brennstuhl is a graphic designer, non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy and the founder of her own beauty company OZN. Together with her business partner, they produce vegan and plant-based nail polish – here in Germany and with a lot of heart and soul.
After graduating from high school, she studied graphic design and then immediately started working independently from her home office. In her mid-20s, she began her training as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy, which she completed shortly before the birth of her daughter.
She divides her daily work roughly evenly between her clients and OZN. As a graphic designer, she now only accepts particularly cool jobs, mainly from the beauty sector. E. g., she did the entire art direction for the L.A.-based deodorant manufacturer Paper Cosmetics.
Companies regularly book her as a consultant to develop a new beauty product or promote the area of clean beauty more strongly.
Nina’s expertise lies in the areas of psychology, psychotherapy and mindset, as well as in clean beauty, self-employment, work and family, and starting a business.
