Sophia Hoffmann
Sophia Hoffmann is a chef, author and restaurateur. She is committed to environmental protection, sustainability and feminism and works as a speaker and consultant as well. Her vegan recipes are characterized by regional seasonal cuisine. Her four cookbooks are about more than just cooking. The books “Zero Waste Küche” and “Die kleine Hoffmann: einfach intuitiv kochen lernen” are dedicated to the appreciative handling of food and were awarded the silver medal of the German Gastronomic Academy. In 2022, Sophia’s work was documented in the show “Fine Food Stories”, the 45-minute program is available in the ARD Mediathek. Since November 2022, Sophia has been running the organic restaurant HAPPA in Berlin Kreuzberg with her business partner Nina Petersen. The restaurant serves vegan lunch from Monday to Thursday and a dinner event on Friday evenings with a five-course menu and non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks. Both ecological and social sustainability are the cornerstones of the HAPPA restaurant.
