What motivates you?
My dissatisfaction.

The best advice you have ever been given?
When you sit inside all day, you feel too big in relation to the space. That changes as soon as you venture outside.

What are you learning right now that you still have to get good at?
Patience. And tattooing!

What would you chance if you had the power to do so?
Decolonise the fashion industry and its power structures! And with it: living wages for all fashion industry workers, starting with the production of raw materials on cotton plantations.

Which superheroine power would you like to have?
A photographic memory would be handy!

Vreni Jäckle

Co-Founder Fashion Changers, Fashion System Change Advocate, Author
Request Speaker

As Fashion Changers co-founder, book author and speaker, Vreni Jäckle is passionately committed to a more sustainable and just fashion industry.

After completing an interdisciplinary study programme (design-communication-business), Vreni decided to do a traineeship at the well-known online magazine Edition F under the direction of Teresa Bücker. There, Vreni dealt with feminist issues and contributed to building the Edition F community. Today, Vreni implements the design and editorial skills at Fashion Changers – as creative director, in building a strong community and in brand building.

Vreni is particularly interested in what creative possibilities fashion offers, how fashion challenges our understanding of justice and what progressive impact fashion can have in society. Vreni also covers these topics as co-author of the book “Fashion Changers” and in magazine articles for Brigitte Be Green and 2050 Magazine. In the Fashion Changers online magazine, Vreni likes to conduct interviews with exciting personalities on topics such as nonbinary fashion or upcycling.

As a moderator, Vreni manages to create honest and inspiring conversations with great sensitivity for the nuances and ease. As a speaker, Vreni has spoken at fashion trade fairs such as Premium and Innatex, as well as at renowned educational institutions such as the Academy of Fashion and Design in Berlin and the London College of Fashion. In addition to Fashion Changers, Vreni pursues artistic projects and most recently had an interactive photo exhibition on the topic of fashion overproduction and overconsumption at Platte.Berlin.
